Welcome all to the UK's first large european tournament. We are aiming to run one of the largest european tournaments to date. We are offering an excellent venue, expected large turnout and classy tournament experience.

The British have always travelled well to European tournaments so we are hoping that we get a large European turnout to this tournament :chuckle:

Housing
*Housing will be provided at my home prior to and after the tournament IF NEEDED. I would prefer if people did not and you aim to get to the venue on the Tuesday and leave on the Thursday. These days have been selected as they are the cheap ryanair flight days. If your flights do not work that way you can be housed by me but please try not stay more than two nights either side of the tournament days. My home is located on the travel map found later in the thread.

The google map also shows where housing is provided by other UK smashers. This way you can see where else you could be housed if flying in at unusual times in airports that aren't near my home or the venue.

*If you fly into an airport such as; manchester, liverpool, doncaster, bristol and the london airports and need housing before/after the tournament near these airports let me know.

*Housing is provided at the venue August 12th and August 13th. There are 80 beds available at a greater venue cost. For those that can't afford it or are to late to guarantee a bed (via registration) you will be housed either; in the venue lounges, a marquee outside or at my home.

Registration
I will get an online registration site available soon. For now please let me know if you are interested, what country you are from and if you are interested in a bed.

Travel
Use this edited google map (will be updated with more and more information);
http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF&m ... f9f2b4bf0b

It shows where the venue is, where my house is, airport locations, ferry locations and train locations. Click on the pins and it will give you travel information. Use google & public transport option to work out how to get from birmingham central to venue/my house.

If you want specific help finding cheap tickets or travel options etc please specify in the thread or better yet pm me.

Just remember that ryanair is currently advertising cheap sale tickets in March-April. Expect that it'll be a few months until this happens for the summer months. So, if you can't find cheap tickets at the moment they may come available.

Heyall! I have just found out that we are allowed 200 people in the venue and we have three days from Tuesday to late Thursday. Check out the pictures of the venue;
http://www.birminghamfed.co.uk/Bilberry ... entre.html

In my opinion this is the BEST venue any european tournament has had (and I have been to alot of tournaments). There is; two kitchens, 3 lounges, garden, a dinning room, huge main sports hall, 80 beds etc.

Im wanting there to be a HUGE Spanish turnout. Come to the UK!

You can fly into ANYWHERE in the UK and get to Birmingham cheaply by coach. Birmingham is the second largest city and very central in the coutnry. I can house people before and after the tournament. If you want housing near specific airports or in London for sight seeing I CAN ARRANGE THIS =). Barcelona sirports and Madrid both fly to Birmingham and East Midlands with ryanair. These are VERY close to the venue.

Im wanting to make this a really big and successful tournament. We already have 35 TVs and still counting. This is going to be a yearly tournament series so don't miss the first SNY

If you have any questions or need any travel help or guidance talk to me on msn: ceddon@hotmail.com

Sorry just Melee. This is my first large european tournament (& UK European tournaments) although I have ran the most UK tournaments. Therefore, I don't want to over do myself in my first SNY. Maybe if this is very successful I will add Brawl to the second SNY (these tournaments are going to be ran yearly every August).

Im also wanting to run a very large and professional international crew tournaments. So....Spain come rep yourselves ;)
#46884
Yeah, with melee only i don't expect much spanish going there, maybe Strawhat Dahean / Overtriforce / K-12 but i still don't think so.

Why would they not come to this? they go to other large european melee tournaments. This is going to be a yearly european tournament series like ROS and ESA. Check the venue out, it is awesome ;). Flights to the UK for the spanish should be pretty cheap.

Sorry for no brawl though guys :(

Sham, NaZe & SaiX - Awesome, I want there to be more Spanish at this tournament than any other European tournament to date...make it happen ;).

Also, does Sevilla=Seville ?! im guessing so. If it is Ryanair flies from Seville to Bristol/London Stansted or Liverpool. From here you can get a reasonably priced coach to Birmingham.

OR if cheaper fly Sevilla to Dublin then connect from there to Birmingham. This maybe cheaper and quicker than the above options =)

sham was fixing hikotsus 80% of people here play melee + brawl to 90%, I doubt he's interested since he doesn't play much melee.
Yes, Sham is stupid sometimes, but doesn't matter. NO OBSTANTE, el post de Sham es un +1 total, deberias tener una autoadvertencia. Por cierto te aseguro que no es 90% xD

Kone you should know Spain is now full of barlw scum, especially this forum, so don't even bother convincing them

interested, but it is still too early to confirm

I will be checking for updates ;)

ps. also, I'm loving the tourney name and the fact it's just melee, so good

Now that ESA4 is over I thought it was about time I reminded you about SNY1!

I am wanting a large spanish turnout at this tournament. I know that a lot of you have mentioned interest I am now hoping we can get you to book!

Remember SNY is a three day tournament event. There are beds available for a good price and food is being put on! We are also putting considerable emphasis on international crews so come and represent spain!

Look into flying into London (any airports) then getting a coach to London city centre with www.easybus.co.uk and from there get a coach to birmingham with www.nationalexpress.com or www.megabus.com.

You could also fly into birmingham airport or east midlands airport which are both very close to birmingham city centre and connected via a short train (may even pick you up!).

I am offering housing for everyone in Birmingham Monday and Thursday night (housing at venue tuesday and wednesday night). If you really need it I could do sunday night.

If you drive then and get an early morning ferry just come the day before the tournament and chill out/ rest at mine :).

Also in terms of sightseeing Birmingham is the second largest city in the UK. Therefore, it has alot to see and has a very good nnightlife if that is your thing. Furthermore, Alton Towers is nearby (large theme park), roman city of Bath, stratford upon avon (shakespeare) and the second largest safari in the UK.

If you want to sightsee in London I would propose that you stay at mine Thursday night and leave very early morning into london (loads of coaches at a lot of times between the cities). Book one night ata hostel with www.hostelworld.com and have two full days in london :D.

If you have any questions or need help with travel ask me here!

More info here: (this is where you register) ps charles has also not updated the list in sometime lol http://nintendoid.co.uk/smashbros/
